Commanding OfficerThe commanding officer of the American Contingent is Lieut-Col Paul O'Shaughnessy

Col O'Shaughnessy was sworn to service on 22 October 1972 as a Light Infantry soldier. He rose through the ranks in the Light Infantry to Corporal, Serjeant and then Captain of his company. He was promoted to Commanding Officer on 3 Dec 1997.

 

 

The AdjutantThe Adjutant of the American Contingent is Captain Richard Amsterdam

Captain Amsterdam was sworn to service on 4 July 1975 as a Grenadier soldier. He rose through the ranks in the Grenadiers to Corporal and then Serjeant. He was promoted to Adjutant on 3 Jan 1986. Capt Amsterdam served as commanding officer from 7 Oct 1992 to 1 Feb 1994. He was re-appointed as Adjutant in Oct 2000. On 7 Aug 2002 he took on the additional duty as officer commanding, the Grenadier Company.

 

Quartermaster SerjeantThe Quartermaster-Serjeant is Grenadier Serjeant Edward Scull III

Serjeant Scull was sworn to service on 19 April 2004 and advanced to L/Corp on 6 April 2005. on 5th October 2005 he became Grenadier Serjeant. And on 5th September 2007 he was appointed Quartermaster-Serjeant.

 

 

 

 

Dr KlicksteinThe Surgeon is Dr Lloyd Klickstein

Dr Klickstein was commissioned as Surgeon on 21 October 2006. He serves the medical needs of the regiment and has two sons who serve as privates in the Light Infantry.

 

 

 

Colour EnsignCaptain Lincoln Clark III, Colour Ensign

Captain Clark was sworn to service on 13 February 1975 as a Light Infantry soldier. He rose through the ranks in his company to Corporal and then Serjeant. He was commissioned Lieutenant on 7 October 1992 and then rose to officer commanding Light Infantry on 3 December 1997. Capt Clark stepped down as officer commanding on 8 November 2006 and became a Colour Ensign.

 

Colour EnsignCaptain William Desmond, Colour Ensign

Captain Desmond was sworn to service on 24 August 1974 as a Light Infantry soldier. He advanced to Corporal and on 1 February 1983 became Serjeant. On 1 December 1993 he was advanced to regimental serjeant-major. Serj Desmond was commissioned Ensign in the Battalion Co'y on 5 April 1986. He was promoted to Lieutenant and on 1 June 2005 became officer commanding as a Captain. Capt Desmond stepped down as officer commanding on 8 November 2006 and became a Colour Ensign.

 

ADCADC to the commanding officer is Capt Winston Stone

Capt Stone is a retired commanding officer of the King's 1st Foot Guards where he served as Captain & Lieut-Colonel of his regiment. He provides special services to the commanding officer.

 

 

PaymasterThe Paymaster is Lieut Kira Bailey

Lieut Bailey was commissioned on 21 October 2006 and serves the financial needs of the regiment.
