Escape from Boston, May 20 - 21, 2017

Spencer-Peirce-Little Farm, Newbury, MA

Information for Spectators

The year is 1775 and the British Regulars are besieged in Boston, surrounded by thousands of local militia and Minutemen in a line that stretches for many miles. This is their one shot to break through the siege line with their mighty army.

General Gage picks what he perceives to be the weakest part of the line and hits it hard. The ensuing battle will determine if he is a hero for the crown, or a goat!

Join us at the Spencer-Peirce-Little Farm in Newbury, for “Escape From Boston”, a weekend encampment and battle scenario, that plays out this “what-if” scenario that might have changed the course of the American Revolution.

Come watch the colonial forces battle with the British Redcoats to determine our destiny as a nation. There will be colonial shopkeepers selling their wares, 18th c. craftspeople demonstrating early trades, modern food vendors, and tents by Ipswich Ale and other local vendors. A great day for the whole family. Come join us for the history, for the education, and for the fun!
